Matryx Vane Actuators are smaller than other types of actuators in the torque output range of up to 36,000 in-lb.
Matryx Vane Actuators produce a high ratio of torque output per pound of actuator weight. Exhaustive factory tests and customer applications have substantiated the long life of matryx vane actuators.
Matryx vanes are easy to install because of their lightweight, compact design. Mounting kits are available for all types of valves and other devices.
Vane Pneumatic, One Moving Part
The Paddle and Shaft are integral to each other, and is the only Moving Part, which also provides no lost motion during stroke.
There are only Four Primary Parts to the Vane Actuator, 2 Body Halves, Paddle/Shaft, Paddle O'Ring and 2 Shaft O'Rings, unlike other designs, which can have as many as 122 parts.

XOMOX® XRP Rack and Pinion Pneumatic Actuators
The unique features of Xomox XRP Pneumatic Rack & Pinion Actuators include a balanced pinion which does not require an external clip to prevent the pinion from blowing out.
The XRP also has individual single point adjustment for both the CW and CCW directions and 98 degrees of total travel on the most popular sizes.

Spring Design with Safety in Mind
• The most popular sizes of actuators, XS012 thru XSH15, have a man-safe spring design. The end caps can be removed without the concern of controlling loaded springs, and no special tools are required to remove spring assemblies.
• Springs will be fully extended before the end cap fasteners become completely disengaged.
• As always, please refer to the installation, operation and maintenance manual (IOM) for complete instructions, including all potential hazards.
• The three smallest sizes: XS001, XS002 and XS006 require special handling to remove end caps. Refer to the IOM for complete instructions.
• All spring sets are counter-balanced guaranteeing proper piston rack to pinion fit resulting in extended service life.

Standard Travel Range of 98° (-4 to 94°)
• The 6 most popular sizes, XS012 thru XS180, have, as standard, 98° of total travel capability with externally adjustable dual travel stops.
• The 5 larger sizes, XS205 thru XSH15, have, as standard, 90° of total travel and employ on optional external stop adjustment plate if required.
• The three smallest XS001, XS002, and XS006 have, as standard, 90° of total travel and have open position travel stops built into the end caps as standard.
Wide Available Size Range
• The samllest XS001 is perfectically suited for high cycle ball valve applications where rapid fire cycling is required.
• The largest, XSH15, produces in excess of 100,000 in-lbs of torque capable of turning a 20" sleeved plug valve.
• In total there are 14 sizes of double acting and 13 sizes of spring return actuators to meet all of your 1/4 turn requirements.
