XOMOX® XLB Lined Ball Valves
XOMOX® XLB Lined Ball Valves offer economical solutions for the vast majority of chemical applications while maintaining the highest possible degree of performance in terms of in-line leakage and fugitive emissions.
The lower torque of XLB lined ball valve designs permits use of smaller actuators, allowing cost reductions and creating space saving opportunities.
The XLB's innovative "pressure assisted" SX seal device provides the highest protection from fugitive emissions.
The XLB dynamic body joint design retains pressure boundary during thermal cycles.
- Low Torque - Smaller actuators, reduced costs, space and weight saving
- Actuator Mounting - Fully complient with ISO 5211 allowing use of standardized mounting kits
- Compact design - Allows installation in space restricted areas in parallel piping system
- All wetted components are fully lined with permeation resistant PFA material as a barrier to corrosion
- Stainless steel lever latching device minimizes possibility of accidental operation. Locking capability as standard. Made of stainless material ideal for corrosive environments.
- Atmospheric seal innovative "pressure assisted" SX seal device providing the highest protections from fugitive emissions
- Atmospheric seal remains effective even when the ball stem is side-loaded
- Anti blow-out integral ball and stem retains positive control and eliminates the danger of stem/ball failures due to liner damage at wear points
- Wide conical plastic connection designed to maintain total seal even under extreme thermal cycling
- Metal to metal contact at the body joint ensures that no parts of the lining can be crushed or deformed because of forces within the piping system
- Locked in fluoroplastic liner resists shrinkage, collapse and permits vacuum applications.
- Chemically modified PTFE (CMP) seats provide greater pressure stability at higher temperatures than conventional PTFE

XOMOX® Tufline® Lined Plug Valves
Xomox's 2-way and 3-way fully lined plug valves feature an encapsulated plug rotating in a fully lined body.
Superior PFA lining economically handles the most corrosive fluids. Fluctuations in processing temperatures or chemical concentration also have little or no effect on our lining.
Locked in liner:
The 2 way class 150 lined plug valve offers a melt processible PFA that is locked into cast grooves, machined slots, and cast holes in the body and plug castings.
This helps prevent liner collapse in vacuum conditions and blow out in high pressure conditions in conjunction with high temperature.
Cavity-free Design:
Cavities are absent in open and closed positions.
This prevents accumulation of particulate matter and makes the valve ideal for slurry applications.
Large seal area:
The seal from this plug valve is created by the interface between the plug and the body liner.
The outside of the plug and the inside of the body cavity are at a 2° taper.
The wedge action results in a tight shut-off.
Because the seal is created due to compression, the valve is bi-directional and seals on both, upstream and downstream sides.
Double atmospheric seal:
The primary seal of the plug valve is between the plug and body liner.
The secondary seal is an inverted V-lip arrangement which is pressure assisted.
This ensures excellent seal to atmosphere.
In-line adjustment:
The three adjustment bolts in the top cover can be utilized to improve in-line sealability.
These bolts have to be tightened in order to push the plug down and create a tight shut-off.
Downtime can be drastically reduced.

XOMOX® XLD Lined Butterfly Valves
Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Xomox®XLD, a new fluoropolymer lined process butterfly valve, to our Xomox® product offering!
Among its benefits is its resistance to permeation leading to extension of product life and greater operator safety as it does not permit atmospheric leakage.
Low Torque
Some of the lowest torques in the industry results in smaller, less expensive automation packages and more compact space envelope requirements.
PTFE atmospheric seal
The PTFE atmospheric seal protects the valve from the ingress of contaminants into the valve to further protect from corrosion. This part (available in valve sizes over 14") also acts as the centering ring for the ISO 5211 mounting pad.
Blow out proof design
Additional safety to plant personnel is ensured through the fact that the one piece disc and shaft has a blow-out proof system complying with the requirements of API 609.
Protection of triple O-ring backup seal
The body liner extends past the secondary FKM O-ring seals thereby protecting it from the media in case of a leak past the primary seal. This feature provides a second, third and fourth line of protection against atmospheric leakage.
Belleville disc springs
Belleville spring washers are used to live load the shaft seal removing the need for manual adjustments.
Tighter in-line seal
An FKM backing for the body liner provides a tight shut-off. This backing sits in a machined groove in the body. The interference between the backing and the liner creates a radial force against the edge of the disc. Hence, the tight shut-off.
Enclosed bottom; free of springs
The bottom half of the body casting is completely enclosed. There is no potential leak path. Use of seals is avoided. The body and the disc are fully lined in this area preventing media from damaging the metal.

XOMOX® Lined Check Valves
Xomox Lined Swing check, Ball check, Piston check and Poppet check have PFA as standard lining and use the cast dovetail recesses and machined grooves to lock the liner to the body casting.
Xomox fully lined products are a reliable alternative to expensive alloy valves.
Lined Swing Check Valves
Fully Lined wafer swing check valves are ideal for use in totally
lined piping systems or to replace costly high alloy valves in
corrosion applications. The valve can be mounted horizontally
or vertically with upward flow.
Tufline wafer swing check valves are of two piece construction
with only one moving part. Integral hinge pins fit into the valve
body recess. There are no springs or pins to corrode or wear.
Lined 45 Degree Ball Check Valves
The unique construction of the Tufline 45° ball check valve permits
unobstructed flow through the valve as the ball rides in a 45° guide,
out of the path of the media. The valve provides a large Cv
coefficient. A tight seal against backflow is assured. It can be
mounted horizontally or vertically with upward flow.
Lined Ball Check Valves
This valve can be installed in vertical pipe with upward flow. The patented
ball seating design also provides for horizontal installation.
Lined Piston Check Valves
Tufline lined piston check valves feature a spring loaded plug to provide
an automatic seal against backflow. It is especially well suited for low
pressure applications and can be installed in any orientation.
Lined Vertical Poppet Check Valves
Vertical Check Valves are plastic-lined for handling corrosives and high-purity fluids.
They are extremely effective in preventing back-pressure or backflow, featuring a
low 0.5 psi (0.03 bar) cracking pressure differential, and are capable of handling
pressures to 275 psi (19bar).
Since Tufline Check Valves have only one moving part, they are less likely to need
maintenance. Because every surface in contact with fluid is made of, or covered
with, a thick layer of plastic, corrosion and contamination are virtually eliminated.
They also have full pipe diameter ports and provide minimal obstruction in the flow path.
The poppet-type design eliminates problems that occur in some check valves
with pockets that can trap fluid.
Lined Horizontal Poppet Check Valves
Horizontal Check Valves are plastic-lined for handling corrosives and high-purity fluids.
They are extremely effective in preventing back-pressure or backflow, featuring a
low 0.5 psi (0.03 bar) cracking pressure differential, and are capable of handling
pressures to 275 psi (19bar).
