    Crane's Technical Paper No. 410

Crane Technical Paper No. 410 (TP-410) is the quintessential guide to understanding the flow of fluid through valves, pipes and fittings, enabling you to select the correct equipment for your piping system.

    New in the 2009 Edition:
For the 2009 edition, additional valves and their resistance coefficients were added based on tests performed within the Crane Engineering Laboratories. Industry research was gathered on the latest calculation methods for hydraulic resistance and in resistance values for wyes and tees. Chapters on pumps, control valves, and flow meters were included and over thirty-five new sources have been added to the book.

All types of special configured pipe and fittings can be Teflon-lined.

Plastic-Lined Pipe Dimensions & Liner Thickness

Resistoflex plastic-lined pipe is made to NPS outside diameters. Standard 10' and 20' pipe lengths are available for liners of PP (1" - 12" dia.), PVDF (1" - 8" dia.), and PTFE (1" - 12" dia.). Forty-foot pipe lengths are available for PP and PVDF liners (1-1/2" - 6" dia.). A tolerance of ± 1/8" is maintained on standard and custom pipe lengths.

Carbon steel housings are available for all plastic liners. Pipe with a PTFE liner is also available with Schedule 40 304L stainless steel (316L stainless steel is available upon request). A tolerance of ± 1/8" is maintained on all custom pipe lengths.

Crane Resistoflex Thermalok Teflon-Lined Steel Pipe

Resistoflex Thermalok steel pipe and Teflon PTFE liner act as one integral piece. Combining dissimilar materials with very different coefficients of thermal expansion, our precision Thermalok Process locks the isostatically molded Teflon PTFE liner into the pipe housing, making it full vacuum rated from -20°F to 450°F.

The Thermalok process positively locks the plastic liner in the metal pipe housing while effectively relieving stresses that could cause unwanted liner movement in service.
