Click Here to Request a Quote or More Information ABS-DWV (drain, waste and vent) plastic pipe fittings are used for residential and commercial sanitary systems. ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) is an excellent high strength, high impact thermoplastic material ideal for use in residential and commercial drain, waste and vent systems. ABS is resistant to a wide variety of materials ranging from sewage to commercial household chemical formulations. ABS is lightweight, safe to handle and easy to install. Design Standards - ASTM D 2661 and D 3311. These standards provide the material and test requirements as well as the fitting geometries for ABS-DWV fittings. These fittings are joined by threading or solvent cementing and can easily be connected to steel, copper or cast iron through the use of transition fittings.

CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride). CPVC has physical properties at 73° F similar to those of PVC, and its chemical resistance is similar to or better than that of PVC. CPVC will not rust, pit or scale. It can withstand low pH water, coastal salt air exposure and corrosive soils. In addition, CPVC is not subject to electrolysis, so underground burial has no effect on performance. Design Standards - NIBCO® FlowGuard Gold® CPVC-CTS fittings conform to ASTM Standards D 2846 for material, performance and geometric requirements. They also conform to NSF/ANSI Standard 14 for potable water. These fittings are joined by threading or solvent cementing and can easily be connected to steel or copper through the use of transition fittings. FlowGuard Gold® is a registered trademark of The Lubrizol Corporation.
