Smith Fibercast™ Composite Fiberglass Pipe & Fittings
Largest Fiberglass Piping Inventory in the US, Supplied by Corrosion Fluid Products Corp.
Availability: MI, IL, IN, OH, WI
Smith Fibercast Fiberglass Piping Systems, supplied by Corrosion Fluid Products, utilize epoxy or vinyl ester resins as corrosion barriers and fiberglass for their structural strength.
Fiberglass pipe has great unsupported strength capability, corrosion resistant interior and exterior, is light weight and easy to fabricate / install, and has a very smooth interior for higher flow rates, reducing energy consumption.
For over 60 years NOV Fiber Glass Systems has been the industry leader in Chemical & Industrial corrosion resistant piping systems. The combination of the Fibercast family of products for chemical process and chemical handling lines and the Smith family of products for light duty chemical and water provides the broadest array of epoxy and vinyl ester piping systems in the world. The various product offerings are widely used for HVAC Piping, Power and Secondary Containment applications. Their long-term commitment to product innovation and compliance with recognized industry standards makes NOV Fiber Glass Systems the engineer’s choice.
Corrosion Fluid Products supplies fiberglass piping systems to customers in Michigan (MI), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Ohio (OH), and Wisconsin (WI).

"Time Tested" Composite Fiberglass Piping Systems
Smith Fibercast fiberglass reinforced piping systems are "time tested" because they have proven their durability and value in harsh environments and unforgiving applications for decades. In fact, some of their buried fuel handling installations have been in the ground for over 40 years.

Microbiologically-Induced Corrosion (MIC):
What it is and How to Prevent It
MIC is a common problem in industrial processes due to the presence of microbes that form colonies on the surface of metal. This eventually leads to a formation of crevices, with oxygen and ion concentration cells, allowing corrosion to progress.
If left untreated, piping systems will be significantly weakened, often forming holes in its pipe walls resulting leaks and loss of liquid.
Treatment can be done by protecting metal piping with cathodic protection or chemically treating the liquid, which in itself can compound corrosion.
Either method requires additional expenditures that may only delay failure.

Dual Containment Fiberglass Piping Systems & Two Piece Fittings
Manufactured by Smith Fibercast Fiberglass Pipe, Stocked Locally by CFPC
NOV Fiber Glass Systems offers dual containment fiberglass piping systems (secondary containment) with two-piece (clam shell) fittings that meet EPA requirements
and help protect the environment by containing possible
fluid leaks in case of damage to the system. Both vinyl
ester and epoxy resin systems are available to match your application.
Secondary containment fiberglass piping systems are available in 3"-16"
sizes. The primary and secondary containment piping is manufactured
by either filament winding or the centrifugal casting
process.
The secondary (dual) containment frp system is designed for use with
RED THREAD® II, GREEN THREAD®, Z•CORE®, CENTRICAST
PLUS® RB-2530 or CL-2030, and CENTRICAST®
RB-1520 or CL-1520 primary (product) pipe. Primary piping
can be centered in the containment piping by using centralizers
and anchors as needed.
The secondary (dual) containment piping system consists of the
next larger pipe size (as a minimum) and special two-piece (clam shell)
fittings. The size of the containment pipe may be dictated by
the leak-detection method used. Standard fittings are manufactured
with epoxy vinyl ester resin. Fittings are manufactured
by either the compression molding process, or the
contact molding process.

Joining Methods for Smith Fibercast Fiberglass Pipe
Bell & Spigot FRP Pipe Joining
A matched-taper joint secured with epoxy adhesive. Stronger than the fiberglass piping itself, in both internal-pressure and axial-tension capability. Resists movement, facilitating joining long runs of fiberglass pipe without waiting for the adhesive to cure. Fiberglass bell and spigot joining can be used with 1 inch to 24-inch frp pipe diameters.

Socket FRP Pipe Joining
Positive stop lands simplify precise makeup of complex piping configurations. For pipe diameters of 1 inch to 14 inches.

T.A.B.™ FRP Pipe Joining - Threaded and Bonded
The ultra-reliable FGS threaded and bonded joining system. Double-lead threading ensures an extra secure adhesive connection during threaded fiberglass pipe installation. Available for 2-inch through 6-inch frp pipe diameters (larger sizes available by special quotation).

Flanged FRP Pipe Joining
Flanged joining is available for all piping systems and pipe diameters; factory assembled or shipped loss for field assembly. Self-aligning flanges for Ceram Core systems ensure proper alignment of inside diameters for optimum wear resistance.

Butt & Wrap (Butt Wrap) FRP Pipe Joining
Plain-end pipe or pipe and fittings butted together and wrapped with multiple layers of resin-saturated mat or woven roving. Can be used with all piping systems and diameters.
