    Chromalox Industrial Forced Air Heaters

Adding a fan to a heater creates artificial air movement. This air movement allows for a more compact heater than the convection heater since rapidly moving air removes the heat from the heater surface more quickly. The forced air heater forces air over very long distances and is usually the choice for heating larger areas.

    Chromalox Industrial Convection Heaters

Convection heat is the transfer of heat from the heater to surrounding air by the natural circulation of air through the heater. In free or natural convection, the air motion is a result of gravitational forces where the heated air is lighter than the cooler air. The heated air rises from the top of the heater and is replaced by cooler air which enters from the bottom. This air current delivers the heat to the surrounding room. Individual convection heaters are a common heat source in small areas, but when combined as multiple heaters can heat large areas as well.

    Chromalox Industrial Radiant Heaters

Radiant heaters include a large selection of elements, fixtures and panels for the best solution of applications where immersion or direct contact heating is impossible, impractical or undesirable. Element source temperatures to 4000°F with emission surfaces of various sheaths including Incoloy®, ceramic or quartz providing work watt densities to 5.76 kW/ft2. Applications include drying, curing, preheating, shrinking and thermoforming. Chromalox sensors and controls are available to provide a single source heating system designed specifically to suit your application.
