Pureflex 800 Series Fully Lined Composite Valves
Pureflex 800 series fully lined composite valves are manufactured to be corrosion resistant inside and out in hostile services. The valve has the strength of steel with ½ the weight and is 10 times more impact resistant than standard FRP. The 800 series is used for shut-off and throttling of most known corrosive fluids, and has the purity required for ultra-pure applications. It can be used for end of the line services and is bubble tight at full rated pressure of 150psi, has triple stem seals and can operate at temperatures between (-)60°F to 250°F.

Flowserve Durco BTV-2000 Teflon-Lined Chemical Service Valves
Flowserve's Durco BTV-2000 provides triple stem seal protection. The primary seal is formed at the disc hub by the spherical ball and socket disc/liner seal. An independent secondary seal of PTFE covered PFA convolutions on the disc stem enhances sealing with its “tortuous” no-leak path design. Finally, the O-rings in the alloy gland follower offer added protection from external media corrosion as well as preventing leakage to the atmosphere.
Teflon-lined BTV-2000 valves can be found throughout the chemical processing industry, wherever chemical fluids are produced, processed, handled or disposed. By inserting patented Yeary Controls "Throttling Trim Cartridges" into Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valves, control valves are created that exhibit significant improvements in performance, simplicity, and economy. They have excellent throttling characteristics and provide aerodynamic noise attenuation/reduction, and liquid cavitation reductions in a wide range of services from cryogenic temperatures up to 850° F, including liquids, gasses, and steam.
How it Works
As the butterfly vane turns within the Throttling Trim Cartridge, the flow is first controlled via the characterized clearance between the disc edge and the solid, tapered portion of the cartridge; then through the multiple, optimized slots; and, finally, through the additional open area of the valve to provide:
